Early in the month, we took the boys to Freeman's Family farm in Galena to pick pumpkins. We also took a nice hayride (the fall foliage was beautiful), fed some barnyard animals, and enjoyed kettle corn. As you can tell from the pictures, it just wasn't a brisk autumn morning. It was downright freezing! But we made the most of it. Gotta love Ohio weather!

The weekend before Halloween, we made our annual trip to "Boo at the Zoo." Matthew and Adam had a chance to wear their costumes, see some animals, and do some trick or treating. They also enjoyed running through a hay maze that was just their size.

And finally, the big day arrived... HALLOWEEN. Beggars night fell on Saturday the 31st (as it should!) We started the day by carving pumpkins. I don't think either boy realized it was a messy process. Matthew was really grossed out by the pumpkin guts. He at least tried. Adam wouldn't go near his pumpkin, so Mommy carved it instead. As the evening drew near, we all got in our costumes and headed out into the neighborhood for trick or treating, running into friends along the way.
